Seminar activity: Immunoprotective effects of proanthocyanidins on obesity associated intestinal inflammation

Tomorrow, Katherine Gil, a PhD student from MobioFood Research Group, will do a seminar to explain her ongoing research regarding the protective effects of flavonoids on obesity- associated intestinal alterations. She is focused on the study of the mutual effects and interplay between the intestinal microbial ecology, the gut epithelial barrier and the immune system. In this seminar she will show the in vivo studies being performed to investigate how food components can modulate these processes.
