Katherine Gil, a PhD student from MoBioFood Research Group, has been awarded a grant for attending to a Course about the link between Microbiota and Nutrition-associated diseases from the Universidad menendez pelayo and Instituto Danone.
The 2 day course is organized by the School of Nutrition from the Universidad Menéndez Pelayo, and will take place in Santander, in July 2015.
In this course, participants will discuss recent scientific advances on this issue and the potential strategies to modulate the microbiota human intestinal, from a nutritional point of view, will be reviewed. This will be addressed in eight multidisciplinary sessions directed to science professionals in health (diet and nutrition, medicine, pharmacy and nursing), basic sciences related to nutrition (biochemistry, biology, physiology, food technology, molecular biology, etc.) and also to researchers and final year students of any of the disciplines mentioned.
