Dr. Jacques Behmoaras and Toni Olona came to the URV to do a seminar regarding our collaborative research
MoBioFood and Jacques Behmoaras (Imperial College) Research Groups started their collaboration in order to understand a genetic variation that controls macrophage function and to establish the link between genome-macrophage function-complex disorders. We use an animal model (rat) of cafeteria-diet induced obesity and apply systems-genetics approaches to investigate the effect of germline sequence variation on macrophage and adipocytre plasticity. Toni Olona is doing his PhD linked to this collaborative project.
