MoBioFood attended to the 1st International Conference on Food Bioactives and Health. 13-15 Sept. Norwich, UK
General -
The aim of the Conference was to provide an open forum that brings together researchers from various scientific communities to present the latest research and discuss common themes and challenges to understanding the impacts of food bioactives on health.
MoBioFood presented a poster entitled "A rat model of moderate intestinal inflammation to study molecular bioactivity of food". The aim of our study was to was to characterize a new rat model of acute intestinal inflammation for studying the potential benefits of bioactive food compounds on intestinal performance. Katherine Gil presented a new animal model for the study of moderate intestinal inflammation based on LPS administration useful to studying the potential benefits of bioactive food compounds on the intestine in a situation closer to health.
