Strategy for limiting food intake using food components aimed at multiple targets in the gastrointestinal tract

Teresa Blay, Ximena Terra, Montserrat Pinent*, Anna ArdevolIn this work we review the bioactivity of various food-related compounds for different functions of the gastrointestinal tract finally suggesting that an integrative approach based on the modulation of multiple targets with foods could help to limit food intake.

MoBioFood recently published a paper in the journal Food and Nutrition Research
Our work entitled "Acute selective bioactivity of grape seed proanthocyanidins on enteroendocrine secretions in the gastrointestinal tract" authored by Àngela Casanova-Martí, Joan Serrano, Mayte Blay, Ximena Terra, Anna Ardévol and Montserrat Pinent has just been published in the journal Food and Nutrition Research.
In the present study Àngela Casanova-Martí et al. investigated in deep the mechanisms used by GSPE to increase GLP-1, and extend it to its role at modulation of other enterohormones.
