Research collaboration between MoBioFood and the Imperial College from London
During the last week, Dr Jacques Behmoaras and Jeong Hun Ko from the Imperial College, London, UK have visited our lab at the MoBioFood Research Group, URV, Spain due to a research collaboration.

MoBioFood Research Group attended to the seminar sessions on "THE HUMAN MICROBIOME: PRESENT STATUS AND FUTURE PROSPECTS"
The invited talks and open debates stimulated the discussion and provided thoughts for future areas of research. The more recent hypotheses and theories regarding the complex human-microbiome relationship and how it may be modulated for improving health and well-being were discussed.

Today, two Master students from MoBioFood Research Group, Iris Ginés and Andreu Gual, presented their Master Thesis
Iris Ginés and Andreu Gual, presented their Master Thesis entitled, respectively:
- Chronic supplementation with dietary proanthocyanidins protects from diet-induced intestinal alterations in obese rats.
- Chronic treatment with a satiating dose of grape-seed proanthocyanidins modulate lipidic metabolism at transcriptional level.

Recently published online a review paper regarding the “Effects of Flavanols on the Enteroendocrine System: Repercussions on Food Intake”
This review has been published in the journal "Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition". The ranking of this journal in FOOD SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY category is 2/123.
